Superior craftsmanship and building attention-to-detail are the common threads of award-winning caliber homes. Step inside a Carbine farmhouse, Contemporary Tuscan and Spanish Inspired Transitional style home for great examples of inspiring building and creative design.
Superior Craftsmanship – Farmhouse
A bucolic setting, the 3,421 square foot custom farmhouse takes full advantage of the gorgeous Middle Tennessee area vistas. Designed by Mike Hathaway, 906 Studio Architects, the home gives new definition to an open floor plan with its gourmet kitchen seamlessly flowing into the spacious great room.
The home is filled with intriguing angles that make it an interesting and beautiful house.
At the end of the day, the beautiful views are captured through the generous windows.
Carbine will be revealing another dreamy farmhouse in March 2017 – the House for Hope Designer Show House!
Contemporary Tuscan Home
Located in the Westhaven, the Contemporary Tuscan, designed by archtitect Preston Shea, is a building and architectural showstopper. Interior Designer Bethany Bartels rounded out the creative team for the over 4,000 square foot home – a great example of beauty, function and the perfect place to entertain family and friends.
Carbine VP of Operations Daryl Walny said additional study and building attention-to-detail was required to ensure the garage, driveway and front porch steps all worked in harmony. A creative building solution included a rounded turning staircase, complimenting the beautiful front elevation.
The three-story home is an artistic fusion of stucco, Hardie Plank and brick. Unique interior products included Italian tile on the risers, accordion doors opening to the covered tile porch, sliding barn doors leading to the backyard and kitchen stone accents. Narrowgate Artisans created the great room wood beams necessitating structural support without compromising the homeowners desire for openness.
Tile was used for an upper level open porch wrapping a turret. More challenging in a wet weather environment, additional work was needed to ensure waterproofing and lasting performance.
Spanish Influenced Transitional Home
Stepping inside the gorgeous planked knotty alder wood door, the Spanish Influenced Transitional style home, also designed by Preston Shea, has so many gorgeous details including its spacious kitchen.
With antique oak hardwood floors and reclaimed ceiling beams, center to the room is a generous island with Calcutta Gold honed marble with a waterfall edge. Pretty Thomas O’Brien pendant lights hang from above with hand-rubbed antique brass finish.
Sporting a six-burner, Wolf range, the backsplash is an artful mosaic tile. Open shelving with shiplap walls wraps the perimeter of the kitchen with blue limestone counters.
All are great examples of superior craftsmanship. Looking to build your dream home? Carbine has beautiful home sites available in Southern Preserve, Water Leaf, Westhaven or we would be happy to help you find the perfect spot. Contact us today at 615-661-9995.
