Kitchen islands have always been a central focus of the home, but now with bigger, multipurpose islands, kitchens are a space for entertainment and family time as well.

“The kitchen remains the heart of the home. Clients have been excited about the building trend of larger islands. Called the ‘super island,’ this space can accommodate the family chef as well as kids working on school projects while easily serving as a buffet for an adjacent café area,” said Carbine.

Mixed Metals Give Fresh Take On Timeless Space

Mixed metals are weaving their way into home design.

Stainless steel isn’t just for your kitchen anymore. Carbine & Associates added a stainless, free-standing tubs to the master bath in a pretty Green Hills home. These features give a fresh look to a timeless space. Lighting is also trending strong with the use of metal and wood.
