A hard-working, family-run business like Carbine & Associates meant a lot to the Whites says Cammie, whose family has numerous businesses.
Giving back to the community was also important. The Whites had seen the stories surrounding Carbine’s Operation FINALLY HOME build of a mortgage-free home for decorated war veteran, retired U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Luke Van Dorston and his young family.
“We were touched by their helping an injured war veteran and his family by building them a home and partnering with Kix Brooks. We knew we wanted to work with a company who would give back to their community,” White said.
As part of Carbine’s celebration of their over 30 years of home building and developing, the company is building a House for Hope Designer Show House in March 2017 where 100% of the proceeds of the home sale will support area children’s charities. A much better idea than a big party says company president James Carbine!
Buying A Carbine Spec Home
The Whites purchased a pretty Westhaven townhome already in the building process and this proved to be a good solution for the couple who were downsizing from a historic Franklin home.
Cammie said she loved the finishes chosen by the selection committee and was still able to make changes in paint colors, floor stain, mantel and cabinet hardware for starters. “They were so helpful that it was a great and positive experience.”
Carbine used the services of design professionals Bethany Bartels and Heather McGee to help in the interior finish selection for the four townhome project in Westhaven which proved to be very helpful for clients.
