If you’ve ever been to a ground breaking ceremony, actually seeing ground being dug on the day of the event is an unusual accomplishment; and, this is exactly what happened on September 24 in pretty Kings’ Chapel neighborhood of Arrington, Tennessee for a very important Carbine & Associates project called Operation FINALLY HOME.

The beginning of 2013, C&A partners James Carbine and Daryl Walny made a big decision at an event at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) International Builders Show to volunteer their services as builders and participate in the non-profit organization’s building of mortgage-free custom homes for wounded, disabled veterans and their widows.

By summer of 2013, at the Country Music Association’s festival, the exciting news was broken by Country Music legend Kix Brooks.

On that pretty September day, the C&A team was joined for the emotional ground breaking by Staff Sergeant Luke Van Dorston, his wife, Abby, and their 1-year-old son, Brooks as well as a host of community leaders and neighbors to be of the young family.

Work continues thanks to the huge support of LP Building Products along with a talented team of subcontractors and the important donations of time and supplies.  C&A is looking forward to delivering the pretty French Country with Tudor accents by spring of 2014. Donations are still being accepted and please contact C&A’s Daryl Walny to find out how you can be a part.
